Best place to get your Balayage in Asheville

If you can’t tell i’m a blondie through and through. I’ve never dyed my hair, except the one time I let y’all vote and I dyed it pink, but other than that I’ve never dyed my hair. I honestly never felt like I needed too, for the most part I spend most of my time in the sun in Florida and since moving up to Asheville for a little bit, my hair went from bright blonde to dingy blonde.

A friend of mine scoured the internet and Instagram in search of the best balayage stylist. Like her, I was itching to get my hair cut as well, and begged her for her results.

She came across @stylesbyshelly_ and if you re ever in Asheville, planning a trip to Asheville, or just really wanting a haircut you should get in your car and drive to Asheville just to see Shelly.

She started out working in a salon in Siesta Key, Florida and ended up being one of the stylist on the hit reality TV show Siesta Key.

I walked into the salon and was greeted by the nicest receptionist who offered me a glass of wine, so naturally I was in love. Shelly came up and introduced herself and I told her of my virgin hair and she assured me she could get my hair looking like its natural, beach blonde self again in no time.

She painted each strand of specific sections so carefully, while chatting with me and making it go by quickly. They kept my wine glass full, and I got to sit underneath one of heat machines and read a magazine like a scene straight out of Steel Magnolias.

Until I met Shelly I didn’t even know how to spell balayage, let alone consider it a necessity to keep my blonde hair bright and fresh, but look at me now! Girls, I mean it when I say this is the stylist you need to see for your next balayage or haircut.
