Don't forget your passport

There is no amount of planning and research to prepare you for the morning you are set to leave on a big adventure. No matter how long you have been waiting, wanting to leave, suddenly you have no desire to leave your blind dog and your life living in your hometown with your parents doesn’t seem so bad. But alas, the world awaits and you can’t let a perfectly good plane ticket go to waste.

You hope you packed everything you need but only really pray you don’t forget your passport, hop into the car and make your way to the airport which suddenly seems like it  has been right next to your house this entire time.

This first leg of my trip is through Seoul, Korea, and the highlands of Vietnam, retracing my grandfather’s two tours in the Vietnam War. A different experience from any other trip I have taken.  After that, is off to the beaches of Thailand and on to the historic streets of Eastern Europe.  Follow me on this adventure as we discover all the things to do, see, eat, drink, and not do, see, eat, and drink around the world.

A little bit of fear is a good thing; it keeps you on your toes, poised for everything that could possibly come your way. But as you hand your backpack over to the check-in attendant, take three deep breaths and head through security and on towards your next great adventure.
