The Omni Hotel in Nashville

For such a famous city, Nashville can be fairly small, especially when it comes to locating the best hotel.

These days, we have sites like Airbnb and VRBO, making you feel more like a local, especially when they are on the outskirts of town, leaving you to fend for yourself wandering around new city.

We absolutely fell in love with Music City and we fell even more in love with the Omni Hotel. This hotel has a 4 diamond rating and is located in the heart of Nashville. Walking into the guitar shaped lobby, you know you are in the best hotel in Nashville. Automatically you realize the little details in everything, the way the lobby is designed, the library, and the smooth check in, and we can all agree, it is all in the details.

This team has been all over the world and it can be hard to find a reasonable hotel in the heart of a major city leaving us far enough away from the city that we reach our FitBit steps before we reach our first monument. But the Omni is literally attached to the first place we wanted to go: The Country Music Hall of Fame.

Walking from the lobby towards the hall of fame you will notice the floor tiles change colors, creating a piano-like tiling guiding you past sparkling costumes, the famous Hatch Show Print store front and print shop, and straight to the front doors of the famous museum.

Breakfast is included with every room (which is my favorite meal so naturally I was excited) but you can also choose from many other packages to include tickets to the Country Music Hall of Fame or the Johnny Cash museum and a tour the Hatch Show Print room. If you arenโ€™t there for the sights and just the booze on Broadway, you can stay with their Perk and Park package with free parking and two cups of coffee at the Bono Java coffee shop in the lobby to help you with the hangover.

Laying out at the rooftop pool staring up at puffy white clouds sliding across the blue sky and the Nashville skyline is not a bad way to relax after a long night out in this crazy city, or a bad way to start your day. The rooftop bar is open Labor Day to Memorial Day, so sadly, we could not enjoy a cocktail while we dipped our feet in the hot tub but you have to save something for next time.

Now lets get to the comfy part, the rooms. Each room is decorated in such a unique way, different wallpapers, a cool mix of modern and vintage decor, the Omni really manages to make you feel special just by walking into one of their standard rooms.

Iโ€™m addicted to coffee, and there was a Kurig in the room. Score.

Did you know hotels are starting to do away with minibars? Because I just learned this. To make up for this sad and tragic affair, the Omni has provided you with the essentials, like coffee, tea, and water, as well as a menu of everything that would be in your mini bar so you can order it 24 hours a day along with their room service menu. Talk about making you feel like a princess.

We were lucky enough to receive a private tour of the Omni's two presidential suites. Both exquisite and stunning in their own way. It is almost like each room fits a personality, one more feminine with white walls, bright lighting, gold accents, and marble-like tiling in the bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows look like a picture frame of the Nashville cityscape.

The other second suite is much more masculine, with dark wood ,a chandelier made out of horse harnesses, a deep mahogany desk that looks out over the city. The four post King bed is definitely plush and comfy but nothing compares to the bathroom. A free standing tub looks out a floor to ceiling window over the river and enough closet space to fit my closet times four (I have too many clothes if you needed a reference).

Nashville is a southern city, so hospitality is key. You have everything at your finger tips: a fantastic chop house, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the famous Hatch Show Prints, a world-class farm-to-table restaurant with a biscuit bar, a sports bar, pool, gym, and it is all right in the center of downtown Nashville.

Once you have booked your room print our your Gibson Girl Guide to Nashville and get to exploring! This city is incredible, and we recommend booking an extra night to recover.
