Bach Bash pt. 2
I would like to tell you that we woke up at 6a.m. went for an 8 mile run to run off all those booze and then went to a healthy breakfast...but that was just Becca. The rest of us rolled out of bed at 11 to make our 11.45 brunch rez at The Hampton Social across town. If you don't look too closely at the pictures it looks like we actually pulled the whole getting ready thing off.
I am a firm believer of The Hair of the Dog, so I drank down my mimosas like a champ and my headache disappeared, or maybe was just prolonged, I don't know but I think it worked. I won't bore you with our brunch details because I already wrote about it and my amazing pretzel pancake so I'll just skip ahead.
We went for a stroll along the river walk after brunch. Now, when I say I believe in the Hair of the Dog, I mean to continue drinking all day long, do not take a break to walk a few miles although it was gorgeous my hangover was knocking at the door. Luckily, I had left my dress at the hotel and had to go back and get it;).
Now lets get to the good part, Steph and I booked the Chicago Booze Cruise for this bride tribe. We pregamed with some celebratory champagne and then hit the dock, literally, pulled up at the last second to get on the cruise and sailed through the city out on to Lake Michigan. Oh, and we were drinking, of course. This is Sarah's last weekend of freedom, you didn't think we were going to let her remember it right?
Any who, we, along with a few other bachelor parties really lived it up, rounds here, shots there, I was very glad we had made reservations and pre-order our pizza at Giovanni's Deep Dish Pizza or else they would have seen the real definition of "hungry" walk through their door.
I have had deep dish pizza at Uno's before, which is absolute crap because this pizza was heaven in a slice.
I wish I could say we sobered up after those carbs but we didn't.
We hopped in the Uber and had them take us to Howl at the Moon. I know, it is an incredibly cheesy chain, but it is also freaking fun and the best place for a bride.
We probably left the stage twice the entire night. And I'm pretty positive we back and ordered pizza. But again, its a little fuzzy.
Fast forward.
We woke up with no trouble at all, went on an 8 mile run and had a healthy breakfast. JK, that was still just Becca. We woke up and got donuts. The most exercise I did was the 5 minute walk won the road to get the donuts. Again, we tried to pull off looking decent for the shower, hopped in a limo and headed to the suburbs for tea. And before you ask, of course we brought champagne.
I wish I could give you more details from this weekend but then I would say we didn't have as much fun as we actually did.
Chicago was a blur in a great way, I cannot wait to return and stay with The Hotel Indigo once again and explore the city even more. But, if you're planning a bachelorette party, I definitely recommend Chicago.
