What to See

Who knew hanging out 5,280 feet above sea level would be so breathtaking...literally

  • Red Rocks Park &Amphitheater: Are you up for a mini hike and some incredible views? Then Red Rocks is the place to be. This park situated in the foothills about a 20 minute ride west of downtown. Bring your comfy shoes and camera, the views cannot be beat! Be sure to check the concert schedule to see if your favorite band in one of the best concert venues.

  • Cherry Creek: This is a small town outside of downtown with lots of shopping, fun places to eat, and great picture opportunities. This is also home to the Cherry Creek Art Festival, a great weekend festival!

  • Modern Art Museum: Set in downtown, this museum is full of contemporary art and can be a great activity if the snow sets in.

  • Capitol Hill: Come see the hill that sets the stage for the Colorado government, they offer daily tours, and it is right across from a few parks and can be a way to enjoy a nice afternoon in Denver.

  • Union Station: Downtown Denver, home to this magnificent train station, come grab lunch in the surrounding areas or catch the train that takes you al the way to the mountains, either way it is a beautiful site!

  • Day Trips: Denver is an amazing city but we would be lying if we told you that Colorado as a whole wasn't pretty awesome. Some fun things to do include day trips to Boulder, Breckenridge, or even Colorado Springs, There you can choose to hike, ski/snowboard (depending on the season), white water raft, or learn about the Gold Rush!

Travel Tips

Denver is a super safe city! But allows remember to follow the rules provided to you by the state. Which leads me to, yes Colorado is a weed friendly state. But take it lightly, do your research and make a smart choice. Remember that federally, the sale and use of weedis still illegal.

Use AirBnb! This website has endless amounts of great homes up for rent. Especially in the mountain towns when the cost of hotels are just too expensive.

Check the weather! The people of Colorado joke that they can wake to snow, and leave work in the sun. It isn't a lie, always bring layers and prepare for the seasons. It all can change pretty easily.i

Where to Eat

We pride ourselves on finding the most delicious hot spots to stuff our faces so here are some of my Denver favorites.

  • VooDoo Doughnuts: The original location is in Portland, Oregon, but lucky for us, there is one right here in Denver making delicious donuts 24/7 so you will always be able to get your VooDoo fix. You will never be disappointed by the flavors, maybe just the lines...be prepared to stand in a pretty substantial line because we are not the only ones who think these donuts are the bomb.

  • True Food: Located in Cherry Creek, this restaurant features healthy options, and their menu includes everything from kale to alcoholic juices!

  • Machete's Tacos: Also located in Cherry Creek, this establishment offers taco a la carte, and some yummy margaritas. Even better news, they offer happy hour every day until 7pm!

  • Snooze: Looking for a Bloody-Mary and a pineapple upside down pancake? This place not only has both of those, but they have so much more. Enjoy some yummy breakfast with a smile, and dot forget to ask about their featured pancake of the day.

Never be afraid to ask a local! The Denver Folks are excited to share some of their favorite spots.

Denver is snow much fun!
